Teradyne - Halos System
The Halos System is a modular design capable of testing 5G chips in multiple configurations. Its robust housing encloses several electronics packages and 2 complete cooling systems (1 fluid assisted). The completed pack design is optimized to easily allow insertion and alignment of test sites to a gantry-based test system.

Acorn was tasked with designing the Halos system from the early concept phases to the delivery of alpha units. Our efforts were intimately involved in the design of the gantry support structure; providing several rounds of dynamic vibration analysis that ultimately informed the overall size and throughput of the system. Finally, Acorn was responsible for housing the entire system in an aesthetic shroud that interacts with the internal system while considering user interaction, safety, as well as serviceability.
